This prayer, simple and powerful, has become a cornerstone of my own daily spiritual practice as I have sought to interweave the complex, nourishing roots of my Celtic heritage with the demands of the modern world and my commitment to practical pacifism. Echoing my ancestors, who swore oaths in the name of the three realms of land, sea and sky — lest the sky fall upon me, and the sea rise to drown me, and the land open to swallow me — I have developed a series of creative visualizations to accompany my recitation of the prayer. Such visualizations help to align the elements of nwyfre, gwyar and calas (breath, blood and bone; wind, water and stone; fire, wellspring, and tree) within my body, grounding myself in peace and renewing my commitment to share this peace with others. The practice itself usually takes between ten and twenty minutes, depending on the depth and complexity of the visualizations.
Ritual, Meditation and Prayer for Individuals — Daily prayers, meditations and simple rituals to help individuals and solitary practitioners establish a foundation of peace-making as part of their regular spiritual practice.
